30 Weeks – Possibly hanging loose!

I knew my ribs were going to be pushed upwards but I feel like it’s affecting the tighness of my bra (again) and I refuse to spend anymore money on damn bras! So, I’m considering going American and/or wherever else they feel they’d rather just no wear bra’s at all. Only problem with this is the lactating which could prove slightly embarassing… May have to reconsider my options LOL! Add to that, the weird awkward pressure on my ribs I’m feeling anytime I sit down anything near upright and I’m considering moving around lying flat on a skateboard for the next 10 weeks.

I had my Glucose thingy test today, due 3 weeks ago but postponed due to a throat infection and it (only!) took an hour and a half which I suppose isn’t bad. After arriving to an empty reception and being told to “just wait” until the receptionist returned and then let him know I was there, (obviously they thought I didn’t mind waiting all day), he returned 15 minutes later, gave me just over half a bottle of original lucozade and told me to drink it in 5 minutes. Luckily, the lucozade didn’t taste as bad as I remembered and I was able to finish it in about 2 minutes. Had my blood test an hour later, and am still wondering why it hurt more to take the needle out than it did to put it in?

Baby Shy is apparently lying sideways (transverse) with no sign of any body part in my pelvic area… I have now resolved to try and swim at least once a week, do squats everyday, do my tinker/tailor exercise every day and put cold things on the top of my bump to get her to turn the right way. Still 10 weeks for her to move so hopefully she co-operates sometime in the next 5 weeks!

Other than that, all seems good. I’m not quite sure about my notes as baby is measuring 28 at 30 weeks but the midwife didn’t seem concerned so I’m presuming it may be to do with the way she is lying. Got my 31 week GP appointment next week anyways so who knows the difference a week can make?!
