A trapped nerve in the right side of my back. A baby moving and kicking in the left side of my belly. Funny gurgling noises coming from my stomach somewhere. The need for the toilet just as I get sleepy. An inability to get comfortable despite having 7 pillows. Anxious thoughts. Despair at the repetitive lack of sleep cycle…
I appear to be sleeping with my eyes open.
Sleep has now started to become something of a star in the series that is my life: it makes a guest appearance every now and then in a random episode!
I think there is one night a week upon which my body cannot take any more and shuts down by midnight. Every other night, I am awake: 1am… 2am.. 3am… 4am… 5am – this is usually when I fall asleep. I do not want to be awake right now. I was tired ages ago. I was tired when I got into my bed! So why is it that every time I lie down, I’m suddenly awake?!
Its 4.30am. I am currently writing this blog whilst asleep with my eyes open. If anyone knows, has seen or is even sleeping with Mr Sandman – how much do you want for him? I will pay!

The closer I got to launch day, the harder it was for me to sleep. It’s a terrible feeling, I know. Nap when you can. You’re almost there!
I’m a bit worried about napping because it will probably make it even less likely that I will sleep at night… But if I actually can’t stay awake any longer I will sleep whenever I need to x
This is nature’s way of getting you ready for what is to come next! Once the baby comes you’ll have all those lovely hormones to help you with it. I found in those first few weeks that I really did pick up the art of cat napping very quickly!
