Shy has been home since yesterday afternoon. It’s a big relief. She had a viral infection – a rhinovirus. To you and me, it creates the common cold which she did have but it also caused a different viral infection – not sure which one but she did not have such a severe reaction to just a common cold.
The good thing is, she’s over it. And her immune systems been tested and her antibodies have started to be developed.
The bad thing is, she very unsettled and out of sorts. Trying to get her back into her 4 hourly feeds, which she has been not too bad with except on a few occasions.
Other than that, I’m extremely relieved and a bit more over protective now. And I keep kissing and hugging her as if my life depends on it.

Such good news. You must feel like you can breathe again now. Hope she settles back at home xx
She is getting there, just a bit out of sorts but healthy x
Fantastic news to hear you’re both home x You’d be feeling a bit out of sorts if you’d been that poorly – she’ll be back to her usual snuggly (and hopefully very soon smiley) self before long. x
Nah I’d be worried if she wasn’t unsettled – it was all new and scary for me and I’ve had 21 years in earth! Can imagine how overwhelming it must have been for her x
If it’s what they refer to as RSV here in the States, it’s a nasty, nasty thing for little babies. So glad that she is better. Hope you both get settled back in really soon.
Not sure what RSV is but whatever she had, her immune system wasn’t ready for yet. Just glad she fought it x
Ugh! When I was a nanny the little one I took care of got Rhinovirus…he was a year old and it was just horrible, I actually got it to and could barely get out of bed for four days so I can only imagine how it made her feel since she is so young. Precious thing. I’m so glad for you that she is better and at home. XX
I’m not even sure what rhinovirus is, I just know I never want to encounter it again! I’ve never seen her look so vulnerable and weak and it was so scary. Very glad she got over it x
Sorry to hear you’ve both been through that – glad she’s ok now. Good luck getting back into the routine.
