Take one unplanned pregnancy. A single mum-to-be. Some tiredness. Lots of crazy emotions. Extreme morning sickness. A touch of fear. The result? A Real Mummy Diary.
I’m Shareen also known now as The Real Mummy: a well known tea addict (Milk & Two Sugars) and single first time mum to Shy. My baby was due on the 9th of March but was born on the 5th (go me and my odd-beating first pregnancy ha!) with the aid of a water birth; equinox; my mum & friend and lot’s of shouting from my direction. If you’ve been following from the beginning when Shy was a tiny little thing in my belly then I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride so far.
The 2nd time I saw my baby on her 12 Week Scan
I’ve been blogging about my pregnancy & then onto motherhood since October 2011. It varies from topical posts to diary type entries and I was actually encouraged to write it – I didn’t think anyone would be that interested and had no idea how many other mummy bloggers existed! Amazing how something that started so microscopic has inspired me to write & meet others!
TRMan is my partner who I’ve been with 1st January 2013. The story behind us is a long one but referred to as something from a fairytale LOL – Girl meets Boy, they fall in love, they fall out of love, they see other people and then fall back in love again. Thats Us. He’s the father figure in Shys life & loves her like his own. We love him right back!
